This extension does not collect any personal information. Specifically:

• No personal identifiers are collected
• No cookies or tracking pixels are used
• No data is sent to external servers

How the Extension Works

Threads Downloader operates entirely on your device:

• Identifies video and image content on Threads.com
• Provides download buttons directly on the webpage
• Provides post screenshot capture directly on the webpage
• Processes downloads using your browser's built-in download functionality
• Uses tab capture only when you trigger screenshot actions
• Supports ZIP packaging using the JSZip library (all processing is local)

Data Processing

All processing of media files happens locally on your device. No data is uploaded to any server, and we have no access to:

• Your downloaded files
• Your screenshot images or capture results
• Your Threads account or posts
• Your browsing activity
• Any other personal information

Third-Party Services

This extension uses only one external library:

• JSZip - A JavaScript library for creating ZIP files locally. No data is transmitted during ZIP creation.

The extension does not use analytics, crash reporting, or any other third-party services that track users.

Permissions

The extension requires the following permissions to function:

• activeTab - To interact with the currently active tab when the extension is used
• storage - To save your extension settings locally
• downloads - To initiate file downloads
• Host permissions - https://www.threads.com/*, https://*.fbcdn.net/*, and https://*.cdninstagram.com/* for media detection and downloads
• <all_urls> - Required by Chrome's tab capture API for the in-page screenshot feature (chrome.tabs.captureVisibleTab)

These permissions are only used for the features described above. Screenshot capture is only performed after explicit user action, and no captured content is transmitted to external services.

Your Rights

Since we don't collect any personal data, there is nothing to request, access, or delete. You have complete control over your downloaded files and can delete them anytime.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above.
